What a busy week I have had. Today I was asked to lead a walk for the Coventry Ramblers,
which I did.Sutton Park was the venue. It was a short walk because it was hot and mainly went through the woods as it was the coolest place .we completed around 5 miles and finished having lunch at the Crown, Four Oaks, which was excellent.
Today Brian the Fish came round in his van and we had some fish which I will do on the BBQ
when its fine again. Thunderstorms yesterday evening and again today. We have a small flood outside our back door(will not do any watering tonight although the birds have eaten all there food so I will put more out . Had another good meal today this time with the Tuesday walkers and we went to the local Golf Club. I had steak for under a fiver. Maggie had Roast of the day which was turkey and that also under a fiver.
Last week we made our way to Knotcutts Garden Centre for our trip to Slimbridge the wwt wildfowl and wetland centre. Plenty to see and well worth a visit.

Another Week
Last week we had a cow lose in our village and had to be shot by police markesmen at the Golf Club ,it had been causing damage everywhere and was completely out of control.
Yesterday we went to Marston Green for a five a side competition. James, playing for MGFC 'B' team had to meet MGFC 'A' team in the semis. The other semi final was against the A & B
sides of Smithswood. Six clubs in all took part putting A & B sides in the under 10s competition We won the final and the weather was ok. A good day out.
I love cooking, Paella being my favorite which I usual do on the BBQ, I also like cooking
Italian, Spanish and Mexican foods . I like Chinese foods but I cant get it like the ones I used to have in Aberdeen Harbour,Hong Kong, must be the setting on a floating restaurant.
Going to finish the patio this week then we can finish it of with a few more plants. The hosta border is looking great. and the tomatoes in the greenhouse are getting bigger .Hope to start
picking later this month.
No walks planned for this week, The Lickeys we had to cancel and the Solihull Ramblers Walk
last week from Hampton we forgot( We all do sometimes). Next week we are leading a walk
from Meriden to Hampton (5-6 miles that's all we can do at the moment)
Must go and clean the car now, Bye

Out and about May 2005
Finished our Houseminding and cat minding stint last week when we took the opportunity to visit Cannock Chase, Chasewater and Shugborough and the weather was fine. The only time
it rained was when we watched the football on TV.
Back home - Grass needed cutting, seeds transplanted plenty to keep us busy. Last thursday we managed a walk around the canals at Lapworth with a meal at The Wood at Rowington
there was about 30 of us in the group . Good time was made by all. This group meets once a
month.
Yesterday,Last day in May, we joined up with the Ramblers Association from Coventry meeting
at Wolverhampron Station, we took a bus to Himley Hall and started the walk thru the grounds
of the hall to Baggeridge Country Park and went round various Pools and trails, plenty to see,
wish I took my camera , after going though the Park we stopped for lunch at the Summer House
,Gospell end. afterwards we walked across the fields to Wombourne to catch the bus back to
Wolverhampton and our train home.
Its raining today, so not doing much. Looking forward to the trip to Cambridge later this
month
